
Mark Mohrweis – Senior Pastor
A native of Seattle, Washington, Mark grew up in The Evangelical Covenant Church (ECC) at First Covenant Church. He is a proud graduate of the University of Washington and North Park Seminary (the ECC’s seminary). After seminary, Mark was called to be Senior Pastor at Redeemer in 2007.
Pastor Mark has a heart for the Bible, racial reconciliation, and for God’s people – the church. He brings a sense of humor to the pulpit and to most of what he does. On his off time, you may find Mark training for a 10k, reading at a coffee shop, playing video games, or vacationing in Seattle.
Mark is married to the love of his life, Jessica, a licensed professional counselor. They have three children, Max, Ellis, and Cora and live in Carrollton.

Caroline Shaffer – Associate Pastor of Youth and Discipleship
Caroline is from Waco, Tx and was raised within the Baptist church. She has earned a Bachelor of Arts in Ministry from Hardin-Simmons University and a Master of Divinity from Baylor University’s Truett Seminary. She is also a certified Spiritual Director.
Caroline is passionate about proclaiming the Gospel, empowering individuals through biblical literacy, and perpetuating wholistic discipleship, especially among youth. She loves spending time outdoors, reading, and catching up with loved ones over boba tea. Caroline and Dan have been married since 2021.

Michael Nguyen – Music Director
Michael was born in the DFW area and moved to California in his teens. Upon finishing his degree, he moved back to Texas (Rio Grande Valley) to pursue further education. After grad school, Michael moved to San Antonio to work in the marketing field and pursue one of his dreams of opening a martial arts school. He now resides in the Richardson area with his wife and college sweetheart, Valerie.

April Thompson – Office Administrator
April’s goal is to help the people of Redeemer to connect with one another, participate fully in the ministries of Redeemer, and use their gifts and talents to edify the church and bless our community.
April is a native Texan who moved to Carrollton after spending a decade in exile in the Washington, DC area. After homeschooling her children through graduation, she’s in her third act as Redeemer office manager. She spends her free time writing, experimenting with growing things, and enjoying nature. She and her husband Daniel have four children, Abigail, Tabitha, Micah, and Gideon.
