Thanking God…
For physical blessings: health, medicine, food, clothing, shelter, heating and air conditioning, electricity, running water, sanitation, a wide variety of groceries, transportation, chocolate, changing seasons, music, nature, entertainment, warm beds, toiletries, literature, beauty in all its forms, …
For community and country: peaceful transfer of power, firefighters, police officers who keep us safe, schools that educate our children, construction crews that keep roads open, the wide varieties of businesses and services, parks, sports teams, our freedoms (speech, religion, assembly, etc.), …
For relationships: people to celebrate Thanksgiving with, finding long lost friends (on Facebook!), parents, best friends, siblings, all children, teachers, new people we’ve met this past year, friendships at church, accountability partners, extended family, neighbors, co-workers, employers, spouse, …
For spiritual blessings: God loves us (even when we forget to do devotions!), He gives us spiritual gifts, He is developing the fruit of the Spirit in us, His mercies are new every morning, He gives us strength, comfort, and peace—even in the midst of hard times, He keeps on forgiving us, He empowers us to do good and gives us purpose, He gives us discernment, wisdom, and direction, He never leaves us, …
For NEW LIFE IN CHRIST!
Sunday, January 31 after church
Redeemer’s Annual Congregational Meeting in January is when Council gives the congregation their ministry reports for the previous year. The members also vote on a proposed budget for the new year. We also form a Nominating Committee who will be tasked with finding nominees for the Council member changes that will happen at the June Congregational Meeting.
Members are needed to vote. Non-members are welcome to attend.
This year we will hold the meeting in-person after the worship service. We continue to follow all of the recommended safety protocols for the pandemic.
We will also have a Zoom meeting link emailed to any who prefer to attend the meeting online.

Redeemer’s remodeling project of the Children’s Wing is almost finished! We will give the kids and their families the first chance to see it before it is totally completed and dedicated.
On Saturday, February 13, from 9:00-10:00 a.m. the children can meet in the sanctuary for some fun, socially distanced activities, and we will take them on a guided tour of the Christian Education Wing.
Adults can take a tour after the children on Saturday morning at 10 a.m. or wait until Sunday, the 14th.
Unfortunately, even with our CE Wing completed, children’s ministry on Sunday mornings will not resume yet. We will use February and early March to purchase and install final furnishings, with the hope of COVID cases being low enough in late March to resume children’s ministry.
