Women of Welcome* Bible Study:
Ruth and Naomi – Friendship. Family. Loyalty. Hospitality. Immigration.
Who?
This Bible study is open to women of all ages who desire to grow deeper in their faith as a follower of Jesus.
What?
A Bible study about what the Bible says about loving our neighbors, including the foreigner, the immigrant, and the refugee. It is intended to be a safe space for women who want to imitate a Christ-like welcome towards vulnerable people…women who may not be sure what that means, but are committed to growing in love towards all people. We will look at the model that Ruth and Naomi give of Christ-like love and fellowship, as well as what it is like to be immigrant women in difficult times.
When?
Sundays at 6:00 -7:30 p.m.
Five weeks: April 18 & 25, May 2, 16, & 23
Where?
In Redeemer’s Fellowship Hall
*Women of Welcome is dedicated to diving into the whole of Scripture to understand God’s heart for the immigrant and refugee. We believe God calls us to a deep love for the vulnerable, the marginalized, and the forgotten. Together we are on a journey to understand biblical hospitality in an authentic way. Therefore, we seek to learn, engage, and grow to be more like Christ in our welcome toward the sojourner. Women of Welcome was founded in 2017 and is a collaborative partnership between World Relief and The National Immigration Forum.
We are holding a conference call to pray together for evangelism. We want to support each other as we pray for people we know to experience the love of God.
To get the call information, contact Pastor Mark at [email protected]
