Service of Carols, Lessons, and Candles
We invite you to join us in celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ through this worship service of readings, Christmas carols, and candles.
In order to accommodate various needs and traditions, we have two time options for the Christmas Eve service: a 6 P.M. family friendly time and an 11 P.M. “midnight” service.
Holy Saturday
11:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
Everyone is invited to our Easter Egg Hunt and FREE Lunch!
11:30 a.m. Bring the whole family and your neighbors and friends!
Start out in the sanctuary for an Easter Story activity and egg hunt instructions.
Then stay for lunch: grilled hotdogs, burgers, chips, and drinks.
The church office will be closed for the holiday.
We encourage you to pray:
Look to the LORD and His strength; seek His face always. Remember the wonders He has done, His miracles, and the judgments He pronounced. (1 Chronicles 16:11-12)
Praying for those who have lost loved ones in combat or military service
- For those mourning and hurting from the loss of a loved one
- For the difficult adjustments military families have to make
- For emotional, financial, and practical support for children who have lost a parent and adults who have lost a spouse
Pray for those who have been wounded in military service
- For physical healing and for emotional strength in dealing with a difficult wound
- For adjustment to a new lifestyle, for future opportunities to open up, for employment and provision
- For healing of emotional wounds like post traumatic stress disorder, lingering guilt, or difficulty re-entering society after service
Pray for those in active service in the military
- For them to perform their duties faithfully and honorably
- That their service will help bring about peace and justice
- For their protection and safety
Thank God
- Remembering God’s works and the sacrifice of Jesus for our eternal life
- Remembering God’s blessings and the freedoms we have where we live
- Remembering that God is Lord of all people and holds the whole world in His hands
