Good Friday, April 7
Tenebrae Service at 7:30 p.m.
On Good Friday, we remember Christ’s suffering and death. His self-sacrifice is good to us who believe because it paid for our debt of sin and opened the way for our reconciliation with God.
The Service of Tenebrae (“shadows”) uses the gradual extinguishing of the lights and candles to symbolize the flight of the apostles as well as the darkness and disturbance that accompanied Christ’s passion. The central purpose of the service is for us to encounter the reality of Christ’s death and admit our part in it.
Holy Saturday, April 8

Easter Sunday, April 9
Easter Sunday is the most glorious of all days and begins the Christian season of Eastertide, the season celebrating the fact that Jesus is alive, and death has been conquered! This is critical because the Christian hope of eternal life is contingent upon the resurrection of Jesus Christ. The Easter season lasts for fifty days and centers on the resurrection appearances of the Lord between Easter Sunday and His ascension.
Easter Worship Service at 10:45 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
This year our service will include the sacrament of Holy Baptism. (Anyone interested in baptism should contact Pastor Mark.)
